Kimberly Parmer, Faculty Artistic Director
Kimberly Parmer is currently on faculty at American Dance Institute and Joy of Motion Dance Center. Originally from Long Island, Kimberly has studied with renowned teachers Maggie Black, Elena Kuniknova and Fabrice Herrault. She attended North Carolina School of the Arts, where she studied with Melissa Hayden, and The Walnut Hill School under the direction of Michael Owen. Kimberly is a former dancer, choreographer, and rehearsal director for MOVEIUS Contemporary Ballet and has danced with regional companies in the Boston, Chicago and New York City area. Kimberly holds her B.A. in Psychology from Boston University and is a certified teacher in the ABT® National Training Curriculum, levels Primary - Seven. Under the tutelage of Raymond Lukens, Franco De Vita and Susan Koff, Kimberly is a graduate of New York University's Master's program in Dance Education with a concentration in American Ballet Theatre Ballet Pedagogy.
